Sketch Fest one final sketch for me

I know I snapped a picture of the background, before I added all the flowers and stuff.  But I must not have saved it.  Grumble.  Oh, well, it looks better now anyway!

And I forgot to take the hair clip off before snapping the photo too.  The upper right corner's not really that shiny.

Oh, well.

Sketches aren't supposed to be perfect, right?

If you enjoyed, or if you want one of my quick paintings for your very own, please let me know! I love comments, even ones like "that hand is shaped all wrong and is too small".

Actually, that comment's less frustrating than "that hand is shaped beautifully, but is way too small...". Having gotten the latter comment, after struggling for a couple of hours on the hand in question in a different painting, I can assure you, "that's beautiful, now paint over it and redo it" is ... a helpful, useful comment. When it's true. *Sigh* LOL

That's pretty. Are the trees in a garden or out "in the wild"? I ask because non-garden trees have odd bits of stick poking out and maybe tossing just a curve of some brown might replicate this. If it's in a garden then it's more likely that dead sticks would be pruned away.

I can imagine little frogs or fairies sitting on that stone in the picture.

If I make this a finished painting, I'll probably add fairies. Or some other fantasy element--something to justify putting it into an art show at a SF convention.

I like the color choices. The path looks very inviting!
