Ley Lines

It was a nice little set of readings. For the curious, the theme that seemed to run through most of the readings was connections -- the connections between people, the connections between the querent and the world, the connections between our dreams and our realities, even the connections between different parts of ourselves.

And, for me, that emphasized the importance of the ephemeral connections between me and you out there, in all the various corners of the world where you live and dream and write. You enrich my life. I'm glad you're here!

Even you lurkers, I'm glad you're sticking around.

So, what are you doing this weekend?

Hi there! Was browsing around LJ yesterday, and I followed the link to your blog from the crowdfunding community.

Yes, connections exist in such a broad spectrum in this universe. It's a thing I've been pondering lately too-- how people have a tendency to try to separate themselves from everyone and everything else, to retain an autonomous nature, when in reality all things are interconnected. I wonder what the balance between interconnectedness and individuality is, however.

Welcome!
wow, that's a complicated topic! I think people try to find a balance point--connected as much as they feel a need for, and similarly independent as much as they need for comfort.

Of course, where that balance pointy sits is different, person to person!

I'll be working on my weekend yet again. It would be nice if I could work for myself on weekends.

You're very welcome, even if this reply is somewhat belated

I don't know where my weekends go right now. I do some house work, maybe a bit of gardening. I don't spend a ton of time on the computer (and have been trying to not spend too much) but it seems I turn around and it's Sun night again. We've got company coming this weekend and I'm looking forward to that. They are long-time friends we don't seem to see often enough.
