Hidden Crocus Moon

I was out picking up trash, and saw the first green shoots of crocus and daffodil leaves poking up through the cold, wet ground.

Spring cleaning has always seemed such a cliché to me; I guess Milwaukee’s “snow and trash lasagne” this year has helped me to see this as a part of nature’s cycle, not just human tradition.  Of course, every winter, I’ve always longed for the time when I could throw the windows open and air out my space; the allergies always have mounted worse and worse through the winter months, so that even letting in all of the spring pollens is a wonderful improvement.

I don’t like cleaning, especially with the allergies, but I like having cleaned, esp. after I bathe to get all the allergens that cleaning things around me caused to settle on me.

Yes
So good to hear from you, and to have you on LJ at all! I hope to see you at some Milwaukee house filk in the next few months, but the timing will have to be perfect.

Re: Yes
I should have joined years ago, in retrospect!

Gee, there's lots of things I'd have done sooner (or not done at all) in retrospect...Pity we can't send our hindsight back to where it's foresight!
